Native American Art - Painting
The Blackfoot, Cheyenne and Dakota (Sioux) tribes lived as nomads on the Great Plains, the buffalo hunt. They painted symbols and numbers on the shells of Buffalo and used to make clothing and tipis. Painting could describe an event - a fight or a hunt. Others were inspired by visions and contains icons and images, believed to have been to provide protection.
